InfiniG MCaaS is a managed indoor cellular network, not a traditional DAS or repeater. A DAS distributes licensed operator spectrum, typically requires a signal source from each operator, and depends on each operator to manage its own signal source. Those signal sources are often much smaller than the surrounding macro network and may receive less operational focus. A repeater amplifies an existing outdoor signal. MCaaS creates coverage in shared CBRS spectrum and connects to participating operator cores through a shared MOCN architecture.
MCaaS is generally easier to deploy because one shared radio layer using CBRS spectrum serves participating operators without a separate licensed-spectrum signal source from each one. That reduces equipment, operator-specific RF overlays, space, power, agreements, and coordination. Professional RF design, installation, backhaul, and operator approval are still required.
Yes, MCaaS may be a replacement, complement, or phased migration option for an aging DAS. InfiniG assesses whether pathways, cabling, fiber, power, or antenna locations can be reused and whether MCaaS should replace the full DAS or address selected buildings and coverage gaps. Active DAS components are not automatically reusable. In most cases, MCaaS is easier to deploy than a full DAS replacement, whether or not existing infrastructure can be reused.
No, not as a simple DAS feature or software addition. A traditional DAS distributes licensed public-operator spectrum and does not provide the local RAN, private core, device identities, security policies, and control functions required for private cellular. Existing fiber, pathways, power, or antenna locations may sometimes be reused after engineering review.
