The Hotel sits on one of Palm BeachCounty's most prized stretches of coastline, offering guests something that most hotels simply can't: their own private beach. It's a premium experience by design. In a property where guests pay for the privilege of stepping out onto the oceanfront, a weak or nonexistent cellular signal is the kind of issue that can quietly undermine everything else the hotel has built.

That's exactly the problem the hotel needed to solve.

The Challenge

Many coastal properties in SouthFlorida face a significant connectivity gap. Amplifying the issue, the construction and building materials required to withstand the harsh coastal environment can make consistent in-building cellular coverage difficult to achieve. And in Florida, properties must also contend with the additional challenges posed by hurricanes and severe weather.

The hotel is a premier oceanfront destination offering direct beach access, a sparkling resort-style pool, an exceptional waterfront restaurant, and a lively outdoor bar. Guests enjoy spacious accommodations, many featuring breathtaking beach views. The resort also frequently hosts high-profile and VIP guests, requiring ongoing, discreet communication and exceptional attention to detail to ensure a seamless guest experience.

The hotel brand recognized that the stakes went beyond guest convenience. A hotel that can't provide reliable cellular coverage is a hotel where guests may struggle to communicate, access emergency services, or simply stay connected throughout their stay. For high-profile guests, seeing their phones go into SOS mode is simply not acceptable. For a property with such a unique position as a premium beachfront destination, that was a risk worth eliminating.

But the more unusual challenge here wasn't inside the building. It was outside it.

The hotel's private beachfront is one of its defining features. Guests spend significant time at the ocean, and they expect to stay connected while they do. Providing reliable outdoor cellular coverage across an open beachfront is a fundamentally different engineering challenge than covering a hotel lobby or guest room. Most hospitality connectivity solutions aren't designed to address it.

“The beach is one of our biggest amenities. Coverage couldn’t stop at the hotel doors.”

The Solution

InfiniG, working in partnership with Spectrum Private Networks (SPN) as the managed service provider, deployed its CBRS-based Mobile Coverage as a Service (MCaaS) solution. In a matter of weeks, the hotel was able to turn what had previously been a significant dead zone into a property with reliable, premium mobile coverage.

MCaaS uses a cloud-native architecture and is delivered as a service, eliminating the ongoing complexity and operational burden that would otherwise fall on the hotel.

For beachfront coverage, the solution is elegantly simple: radios are mounted directly on the hotel building and beam coverage outward toward the beach. No poles. No equipment on the sand. The hotel's private stretch of coastline receives reliable cellular service without creating a visible equipment footprint on the beach itself.

InfiniG provided the underlying CBRS technology and configuration expertise, while SPN played a critical role as the managed service provider, supporting the operational management and ongoing service delivery. Together, the teams helped ensure a smooth transition from deployment to a fully operational network.

Following the successful turnup, the system was remotely monitored and managed, demonstrating one of the core advantages of the MCaaS model: deployment and ongoing service delivery don't require an extended on-site engagement from the hotel. The network can be monitored and managed through the cloud, providing visibility into performance without adding operational burden to the property.

Key Outcomes

  • Reliable coverage for AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon
  • Consistent connectivity across the entire resort and beach
  • Reliable emergency alerts and 911 communications
  • Stronger guest satisfaction and operational confidence

Successful Collaboration

The successful launch was the result of collaboration between the hotel, InfiniG, and SPN. InfiniG brought the CBRS platform, engineering expertise, and deployment capabilities, while SPN provided managed service expertise and ongoing operational support.

That partnership was particularly important during the turnup and initial optimization period. Bringing a new cellular network online is more than simply installing equipment; it requires coordination across the technology, service, and operational teams to validate performance and ensure the customer is seeing the intended results.

The combined efforts of InfiniG and SPN helped the hotel move quickly from deployment to an operational network while maintaining the level of service and attention to detail expected from a premium hospitality property.

Why It Matters

The use case at this hotel illustrates something important aboutwhere hospitality connectivity is heading. Guests don't think about coverage interms of indoors versus outdoors. They think about whether their phone works. A hotel that can deliver that experience consistently, from the room to the restaurant to the beach chair, is a hotel that removes friction from the guest experience entirely.

“When a guest sees SOS on their phone, that immediately becomes part of their experience with the property.”

There's also a safety dimension that was a high priority for hotel management. Reliable coverage means guests and staff can communicate and reach emergency services from virtually anywhere on the property, including the beach. For a hotel managing activity in and around a natural environment, that's a core operational requirement.

“Knowing guests and staff can reliably make a call from anywhere on the property givesus real peace of mind.”

This hotel project also demonstrates how quickly a CBRS-based system can be brought online through the right technology and service partners. InfiniG provided the technology platform and deployment expertise, while SPN contributed managed service capabilities that helped support a successful turnup and ongoing operation.

For hotel operators looking to solve challenging coverage issues without a lengthy, disruptive deployment or significant ongoing operational burden, that combination can make a meaningful difference.
